With the growing demand for specialised Euro Nymph rods, the demand for a rod that fits the needs of anglers that are not looking to compete at the national championship level has also been growing. The people at ECHO used their extremely popular Carbon XL rod as a tried-and-true foundation to make a rod that met and exceeded the expectations of these anglers.
Competition-style Euro Nymph rods can be so specialised that they aren’t always the right tool for most recreational anglers. By using the Carbon XL’s already versatile design and extending the length to 10′, ECHO produced a rod that is not only capable of anything a trout angler needs, but excels at it.
Perfect for any style of nymphing, dry flies, lake fishing, and more! ECHO took an already great rod, gave it a new tip section as well as a few other upgrades, and made one of their most versatile fishing tools to date.
Action:Fast action rods feature softer tips than medium action rods and provide a ‘stiffer’ feel. Fast action rods excel in the hands of anglers with more aggressive casting strokes and greater stroke control. Medium action rods are ideal for anglers with more fluid casting strokes and have a larger ‘sweet spot’ for a wider range of casting strokes. Consistently throwing a tailing loop? Your rod’s action may not be a good fit to you and your casting stroke.
Power:A rod’s power is its resistance to flexing under load. Powerful rods are ‘beefier’ through the bottom half, generate higher line speeds, and are more adept at keeping big fish pinned. Delicate rods are more presentation-oriented, protect light tippet, and are a better choice for picky fish.
